My name is Paul Ekert and I have been a writer now for some time - or at least it feels that way. In that time, I have written various non-fiction books, a number of articles, a novel in the crime-genre, several plays, some short stories and the odd poem.
In November 2012 I won an Award at the Ovation Theatre awards where my play was chosen from one of 12 finalists to play out in front of a voting audience and three professional judges. At the end of the evening my play "Man with a Plan" was awarded Best New Writing, and Alex Babic, who play "Dan" (the man with a plan), was given and honorary mention as best actor. I also came second place in the audience vote.
A previous award for playwriting was awarded to me at the Queen Mother Theatre in Hitchin, where I was one of the lucky winners of the One Act Play Festival held there in April 2007.
I am hoping to develop, produce and direct a full length farce in 2012, in cooperation with a local Theatre group. The play is called "Dating by the Book" and, if all goes well, will be performed at the end of March 2012. More news on this when I have it.
Book wise my novel, Ordinary Monsters, a thrilling crime story set in a small new town near London, is now available for the Amazon Kindle. Click here for the UK version and here for the US version, and click here if you live in Germany.
All of my work is available for production or performance, but please drop me a line first and an invite wouldn't go a miss either.

Thank you for your time.
